Rachel graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. As a student, she was the president of the Society of Professional Journalists, a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, Phi Theta Sigma National Honor Society, the College of Arts and Sciences National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
While in college, Rachel worked as a marketing intern for the USF College of the Arts from 2009-2011. In summer 2011, she interned at The Tampa Tribune, where she had multi-media articles published via print, online and broadcast. Her feature article titled “Are Kids at Risk Near Sex Offenders“ won 2nd place in the Society of Professional Journalism’s Regional Mark of Excellence Award for In-Depth Reporting.
Following college, Rachel was the marketing director for a Tampa law firm, where she handled all aspects of the firm’s marketing. Currently, Rachel works as the inbound marketing specialist for Newby Management. On the side, Rachel is the marketing director for Recovery Epicenter, a nonprofit dedicated to helping recovering addicts and alcoholics.
Rachel is a new mom and a wife working to make memories out of mishaps.
